The objectives and
purposes for which the Society is organized are:
1. to preserve and ensure availability for genealogical research the records of our ancestors;
2. to encourage and assist members in genealogical research and encourage compilation and publication of records, family histories and biographies;
3. to promote interest in and exchange of genealogical knowledge to likeminded individuals and organizations through educational and social activities;
4. to encourage the deposit of genealogical records or valid copies into established county libraries and historical archives;
5. to promote cemetery restoration, surveying, and documentation;
6. to publish a genealogical newsletter or bulletin on a recurring basis.
7. to receive and hold gifts from any source for the benefit of the Society and to dispose of gifts not needed, and to use solely for the purpose of the Society any funds derived therefrom or from gifts generally, and to do all things for carrying out the work of the Society for educational purposes.
